Favorite Podcasts?
Podcasts – or Netcasts or Vidcasts or whatever name by which they wish to be known – are basically audio or video shows with an RSS feed attached to them. This RSS feed gives a person the mechanism to have each successive show in a feed automatically download to their computer, without having to return each time to that show’s website. If that’s unclear, or if you need more info, here’s a link to the wikipedia article on podcasts: link. And here’s the previous article I did explaining RSS feeds: link.
I’ve been a big fan of podcasts for some time now, and every so often I like to refresh my list of podcasts, dropping off the ones I’ve grown tired of and discovering new ones with which to replace them. Here are the podcasts I am subscribed to, in decending order from favorite to least favorite (the audio and video feeds are direct links to the RSS feeds – if you want to subscribe to any of them, copy and paste the link into any podcast aggregator):
- The Totally Rad Show (video feed)
- The Linux Action Show (audio feed)
- Never Not Funny (audio feed)
- Radio Leo (audio feed)
- The Wood Whisperer (video feed)
- Filmspotting (audio feed)
- Jordan, Jesse GO! (audio feed)
- Buzz Out Loud (audio feed)
- Wood Talk Online (audio feed)
- The Dave Ramsey Show (audio feed)
- Ask a Ninja (video feed)
Diggnation
Here’s where your help is needed. It is time once again for me to freshen up my list. So let me know what you listen to. Also, if you’ve never listened to podcasts before but are curious, I encourage you to dig right in – it’s great fun!
